Forum Home > General questions concerning your hamster > Megasorb Too Dusty-What Substrate Is The Best?

Have been using a substrate called Megasorb, its smaller pieces than Carefresh but is inclined to be very dusty. Can anybody recommend a substrate that isnt dusty and is absorbant.

What is Aubiose hemp substrate like-has anyone tried this?or do you use plain woodshavings for your hamsters?

Am tempted to just go back to the woodshavings but i'm concerned about the use of pine shavings because of possible respiritory illness, but what about Kiln Dried brands such as ''Snowflake'' woodshavings, wouldnt this be safe.

Which substrate do you use for your hamsters & what do you think of it?
