Hi folks,I must be the oldest Roborovski fan on here as i've just celebrated my sixtieth birthday.I love all hamsters but my favourite species is the Roborovski, followed by the Winter White hamster.I have kept these hamsters since the 1990's.
I live in a place called Erdington,in North Birmingham, and i own 2 female Winter Whites & 2 female Roborovskis. The winter whites are most likely to be hybrids from a petshop & i have had them 6 weeks now and have named them Bella and Suki. The Roborovskis i've only had this new pair after my other pair died after three years. They have'nt been given names yet and as they're both Normal Agouti coloured robo's it'll be difficult to name them as they're both the same.I bought the robo's only a week ago but this morning i had to seperate them as i noticed them fighting and the one was bleeding a bit by its tail.
Every single pair of roborovskis i've had have always ended up been seperated-it seems they just cant live together for long-Have any of you had the same problem?Perhaps they're from different litters or something.
Our Winter White hybrid girls are living together ok,at the moment but when we've had them in the past we've had to seperate them after a week or too due to fighting and hurting one another-but we're hoping that bella and suki can remain together for their whole lives.
