Roborovski Hamsters

Hi, I just got a robo at a local pet store. The thing is I didn't know they were reeeeaaalllyyy active at night. My robo woke us up a lot of times with scratching and digging noises and in the morning all of his bedding was on the floor of my room! Is this normal... Is it just stress from a being in a new environment? Will it continue? What can I do so me and my boyfriend sleep well at night but also have a happy little fellow?

mine dont scratch but the first night they kept zooming around there cage... hopefully it will die down soon. if you havent already get it one of these wheels:if you put it on the bottom of the cage and put olive oil on the base when you take the disk off you generally dont hear anything. and is the hammie in your bedroom or downstairs?
