I don't think it's bad for them, it must have been a misunderstanding - my hamsters love lettuce!

See the "feeding" page of this website. As long as the lettuce is in about half a teaspoon amount, it should be ok. :)

Fruits with lots of water seem to upset a robo's stomach.

Letuce is pretty much all water...

I would imagine a little lettuce once in a while wouldn't hurt.  Make sure to clean/rinse the lettuce before giving it to your hamster.

Mine love lettuce . I'd say it's their favourite treat . I only give them a small amount as a treat though because of the water content .

Yep, as they all say, definitely don't feed the Robo too much as watery foods can easily cas diarrhea!

OMG IT'S MY 100th POST!!!! :D

Exactly like the people above me said, 1-3 times a week is perfect. Maybe for lettuce, only 1-2 because of its high water content!

Oh right, as mentioned above, foods high in water like lettuce should be fed occasionally, in smaller amounts. I think lettuce is the only watery veggy robos can eat, only in small amounts. :)

It is okay for hamsters to have lettuce, but make sure they are in very small amounts.
