I thought my robo's were girls, after having them for 6 months we have babies, not sure how many, mum keeps them in her nest.  Male has been removed cause mum was attacking him, can we keep the male on his own, is this cruel for him after having company for so long.

Please can anyone advise me...

No its fine in fact its better for the mom. Be expecting a new litter soon becuase he had been in there so long. If you need anymore help with the babies I would be glad to help you!

I had to separate my two girl robos a few months ago. They started to fight for no reason. I tried re-introducing them a few times but it all ended badly. They seem to be doing okay on their own. I think it's harder for me than for them. (I would want a friend!)

I heard that after the dad gets seperated he won't get along with the mom and babies... But maybe get him another hamster freind? Or just connect the cage so they can keep sniffing and smelling each other but put a wall in between to pevent more litters and fighting.

Thank you for your replies, Scooby Doo formerly know as Daisy is doing fine, mum is closely guarding her babies, still not sure how many, but they are doing fine.   Will keep you posted.  Drew

if some of the babies turn out to be boys, you may want to introduce them to their dad and then he will have some company again ??
