Hi, I don't have a clue where to start all I can say is OMG! About 5 mins ago, there was a knocking on my door so I went to the door-No 1 was there other than a box with a blanket over the top! I looked in and OMG......there was 2 fully grown robos and 6 babies! There very, very small.....Though they have all their fur and their eyes are open and they have been walking around.....I don't have a clue how old they are.....I don't know what they're doing on my doorstep and I don't know why this has happened but I'm guessing someone has given them to me! I have a large tub of mealworms so I can give them protein and I actually did some boiled eggs last night so I could give them to Speedy. Marvin & Joe when I clean them out today! So I have protein sorted.......They're already in a bin cage.......I do not know what to do or where to start! Help someone, please......Speak soon, James.............

Hi, has no one found this all day? I managed fine today...but when they're old enough to go alone, It's likely I'll put them up for adoption at my nearest Pets at Home! Speak soon, James.

Oh I just saw the baby part. Put them in a cage or a bigger box with shavings and then give the mom a house to put the babies in! See if you can tell wich ones the mom and take the dad out you don't want mores babies! Let her care for them And one question do they have fur yet? When they open their eyes and have fur you can start to handle them. If you don't have a house take a small cardboard box and cut a hole in it. Give the mom plenty of protien if the dad was in there with her be expecting another littler! Goodluck! And don't you dare give them up! lol

Hi.........finally someone commented.......Do you think someone got my adress off of the site? Until I changed mi profile I had exactly where I lived on there. They all have fur........their eyes are open etc.....I gave them an edible house for the mum......I have left the dad with them though-As I have nothing else to do with him! They have lots of protein, a waterbottle came fitted to the side of the cage, I wont be giving them up for some time if I decide to-I will make room for them! They have everything they need-I havn't handled any of them yet today! I will have to start tomorrow! The box they are in is huge-Much larger than the regular box......I added some spare toys I had....Chinchilla sand etc.....They have everything they need! I really love the little pups-I cant believe they're so small It;s amazing! I can't believe it! When the time comes, I probably wont be able to handle giving them up. Speak soon, James.....I am so excited! Ive been hyper all day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also went to Pets at Home to buy more things.......From what I could tell, they already had a silent spinner so I bought 3! After all the money I've spent the defo will be being part of the family! I bought more chinchilla sand, food, sawdust, nesting material, toys, chews, I spent £48! I guess It's not absolutly loads but It's still quite a bit! Speak soon, James-Hopefully the silent spinners will actually be silent tonight.

Well i guess we would all know when the place is too full even if we were blind. They would have to wrestle and swim through a group of roborovskis to get to the wheel or something. But i am not sure. I guess he main problem with the colony idea is that the babies will be cross-breeding e.t.c. Anyways, thats amazing James! Well if it was compleltly random then the robos are SUPER lucky, but if someone knew your address from this site, they knew you were a good owner and gave you them. Anyways AMAZING!

I can't believe anyone would abandon their pets like this it's in humane.. I'm sure James is doing all he can for the parents and remaining babies, and hope everything goes well with the survivors. Good Luck James with your new charges.. Maybe someone will also see sense and see small animals shouldn't be sold for pocket money prices to anyone...

That's wonderful...and then terrible! I'm sure you're doing everything you can and it's really good that you took them in and cared for them and bought them new toys. Do you have money left to buy more cages if possible? It would be good if you can seperate the dad ASAP but the daughters can all stay with the mum in the previous cage. I wouldn't advise making a colony but watch out for the second litter - it's likely to appear! Are they easy to handle and do they look healthy? If I were you I'd take out some of the bedding and replace it with more wood shavings or possibly shredded toilet paper, because that's soft. Cooked chicken and milk-soaked breadcrusts are the best things you can give them if they're still young. Are they eating solid food? Yogurt drops are tasty and soft and the little babies learn to chew by eating them. Careful with the chinchilla sand - it might be dangerous if it's too deep or if it's kicked about and the babies ingest it or get it in their eyes.
Do you have any names yet? Do you have any idea who might've given them to you? Anyone you know who knows you have roborovski's or might've told someone else that you do? Please, Please, Please don't give them to the pet shop! You won't know who buys them and I'm sure you understand that it's crucial roborovski's are in a good home with a responsible owner (not a young child!) You could put up an advertisement in the newspaper or the pet shop notice board (if it has one) then you'd be able to meet the owner first!
Thanks and lots of Good Luck! Becky.

Hi everyone, luckily no other pups have died....I think they're quite a few weeks old as they have all their fur etc. Also...there's good news: for some reason, Joe has taken a liking to the dad-So Joe is now finally reunited with someone which is great! The dad is fine in the Rotastak Space Command with Joe.......The mum and the 4 girls are fine......I got 1 of my mums friends with loads of tools to help make a bin cage....I have connected 3 in a row just with a plastic tube connecting them all-There's load of space for them-I thought I'd finally 'Migrate' away from Rotastak. So all is going well with them-There hasn't been any fighting between the girls or anything like that....If anything does occur I will still be able to seperate and keep them....I just have a huge robo room just for them-So I wont be giving them away! Ive started handling them, and there all friendly-None of them bite....none of them appear to be robos that wont be touched or anything as they all have come on my hand and are fine on-So all is going very good with them. I'm so excited....I will have pics on eventually...The only issue is, I broke my USB cable and my mum wont let me get another-So i will have to wait until I get a lead until I can upload pics. Speak soon everyone, James.

I can't believe how lucky you are! It's great that the Dad's with Joe, now none of them are on their own. *There have been some ideas that having a mulitple room cage area can cause the roborovski's to be dominant of seperate rooms and fight over them* but I know you know what to look for in fighting, etc. Just don't put a food bowl in each section. Can you tell the young ones apart? It was only at about 9 weeks old that I could tell them by size, markings and personality. Greens and carrot peelings can be soft and tasty for the young ones, even if they're eating solids. Did you buy large or small Silent Spinners? Are they on a stand or a hole in the side of the bin? Are the sides of the bin clear?
Good luck and Thanks, Becky.
