I'm thinking about breeding one of my girls or possibly both. I'm about to look over it all and consider their health and see if the two boys avalible to me would be a good match. I do wan't to know if anyone has any tips for me. I know what I'm doing and checking it all over so don't worry! I just need to know if anyone has any tricks up their sleve for me!

Thankyou! smile

Hi, I don't have any tricks up my sleeves....As I have never bread robos...But....I'm just curious. How are you doing it? Are you putting 2 males in with Emma and Elizabeth...Or are you seperating them and putting them: 1 girl 1 boy in a cage and another 1 girl and 1 boy in another cage? ...........Speak soon, James.....I guess if your checking it all out etc....and the pups have homes and a good place to live after birth then I can't really fault you-You will need to make sure you can fit them in with school etc.

* I just read that other post where I had mentioned about you seperating them due to fighting....And then you said about breeding them and how you would seperate them so that really answered my question hahah....smile Well, you do what you think is best, Speak soon, James.

Hi, the only thing is, they wont just breed because you put them together.................In some cases, they havn't bred in their entire lifetime-Though this does tend to be rare! Also......How old are  Emma and Elizabeth? As when female robos reach about the 2 year mark, they become sterile whereas the males remain fertile. Speak soon, James. There more likely to breed in the spring/summer of 2010 in you put them together this year-as that tends to be when they breed! Speak soon, James.

Well, i tried breeding turns out it was two males but anyways i just read this site's bredding section. Just fed them extra protein, only put your hand in to change food and water, and once the babies are born don't touch them e.t.c. Lol you already know this stuff, you answered in one of my topics like this but anyways that was the basics but i remember making a topic about the schedule so it is kinda like this : days 1-14 don't handle the babies or stress out mom, 2-4 weeks take out the dad? 4-6 seperate? 6+ give it away or just keep them if you have a large nough cage. smile. The schdule dates with a "?" in the end means that i am not sure.

Hopefully 1 of your bins will be sufficient.....Though what if it Isn't? If not, you will have to add another few on....and there's always a case of fighting.....It also depends how many there happens to be.........Will the boys have 2 connected? Speak soon, James. smile

Its ok if every one knows but it will just take forever! But ok. I will choose the hamster I want to breed and with who. Then I will seperate the two bin cages and have the father come to me. After they breed I will remove the father and return him to his owner. After the babies are born and are old enough I will put them all in the third bin cage I will buy. After they are old enough to be sexed the mom will go back to her cage mate and the girls will go in the bin cage they were born in and the boys will stay in the third one. When they are old enough to be taken away from eachother I will pick my two and sell or give to a friend but ofcourse the owner of the father will want one or more. Then my two will go in a cage and Emma and Elizabeth will stay in their cage. If my two pick of the litter are boys they will get two and Emma and Elizabeth will get one. If my two pick of the litter are girls they will get one and Emma and Elizabeth will get two. I am still thinking this over so don't asoom I am doing this.

Hi, It's all rather complicated.......This is such an idea....Keep them all together since sexing.........Then, if there is any, give boys away with the dad........Depending on how many boys there is depends on if you will need another cage for boys..........Then Emma & Elizabeth get some girls and some girls go on their own....Really it all depends on what you get...You could get no boys, you could get no girls-Anything could happen-So don't get your hopes up too soon, Speak soon, James.

I know I'm don't think any babies will be living with Emma and Elizabeth. Becuase the hamster that isn't the mother might not be so happy. And the father isn't mine he has a cage mate too so no babies with parents. I might keep two boys I might keep to girls whatever happens happens. But remmember breeding is still being thought over! So don't atomaticly asume I'm breeding. If I were to Emma would probably do it becuase Elizabeth may be to tiny... well I don't know I let you know when I've made me desicion!
