white russians aren't that small i had one and a campbells to and the campbells is bigger than a robo and a russian is bigger than a campbells

Mabe he is young? So I'm thinking it's a White Russian Hamster. This just proves that before you get a hamster you should always do research. Realy with any pet. Becuase petstores aren't always right. I'm glad you found out what your hamster was!

I think i will take him to the pet shop today and get this all figured out. Thanks for helping every one! Will post what breed or breeds Badger is tonight.

 Surprisingly the pet shop had no idea what he is but they said if the other pet shop said he was a robo than he is one.? They also said he is a little big for a robo. 

Hmm maybe search on the internet for hamster breeds? Thats how i knew what a robo looked like. Ill search for a website that shows the hamster breeds, sizes, colors e.t.c.

Well i couldn't find any websites that had all the imformation but based on the pictures your hamster might be a black syrian hamster, winter white russian hamster, or djungarian. But based on the size i think its a black syrian hamster, though the color pattern is kinda diffrent. Sorry wasn't on for a long time. I did some research and asked some questions and all the websites were all wondering at first, but some said, "ask pet shops or he's not a robo or he is a robo or we're not sure. Two pet shop I asked said that he is definitely  a robo.

I'm by no means the expert here, infact, I'm the new guy, but Badger doesn't quite look like a robo to me. Even if he was abnormally larger for a robo, he's much too long. My robo's are pretty box/circle shape. They're almost as long as they are wide.

The ears also look mucch more larger in proportion than my robo's. I'd say it's probably one of the other one's mentioned here...the winter, syrian, or Djun.

There is such a thing as a Panda hamster, from what I've seen. Yours looks a bit similar to the panda hamster actually.

The only way you'll really be able to tell, is to have him for a few months...if he grows to larger sizes, you know he's certainly not a robo. If he stays smaller...well, he's probably some sort of dwarf.
