Roborovski Hamsters

I am a Head Start teacher in Clermont County, Ohio. I just got two Robo hamsters today in my class. They were given in a set of 4 to another teacher by a parent who didn't want them anymore and she hand off two to me. I couldn't figure out what kind of hamsters they were until I researched them and found this site. I never seen hamsters this small before. We named them Itsy and Bitsy. Any information you can give me about them is much appreciated. My children in my class loves watching them. They are very energetic.

Hi . I live in Stoke on Trent , England . I've had syrian hamsters as a kid but never robos . I went into Pets at home looking to get 2 dwarf hamsters . There were 3  robos in the shop and it seemed cruel to leave one behind so I took  them all . One of them actually escaped in the shop and ran under the display cabinets , luckily she was eventually caught by a fast moving pets at Home staff member !!! Not ideal , but probably a good thing for me to see just how FAST they can move .....

The babies ( as they are known in our house ) haven't got official names yet  . I think they'll get proper names when I know their personalities a bit better . As far as I Know they are girls . Thats what I was told in the shop anyway .

Hey im Matt obvs got 2 robos, but i also have guinea pigs... The problem is my cats keep trying to attack my robos so i have to have my door shut 24/7 (ugh) Rob had a fight with bob but sorting that out, and hoping theyll lvie as lnog as my last hamser (6)

Hi I am the mom of  cutehamstergirl who I am very pround of.  this is our first time having Robos and are having a bit of a difficult time adjusting to them.  Will keep working at it as it takes time.  Hope to get to know others here as well.

Hi I'm Kristi. I have three hamsters. One is a Winter White named after the MJ song Billie Jean , then I have two robos Annie who's named is taken out of  the MJ song Smooth Criminal and Dirty Diana who I just call Ana who is also named after a Michael Jackson song. I also have a Chihuahua/Cavalier mix named Lola. Eventually I like to obtain a ferret and get over my ridiculous fear of snakes and become a conservationist. Hello! I'm Miguel. I am 15 years old.  I have two robos. I just got them 2 days ago. And their names are Beef [male] & Fluffy [female].  They always sniff and wrestle. I hope fluffy get pregnant.  add me.!

Hey all, just got my first robo's. Two females, Abby, and Road. They currently reside in a 10 gallon tank, with a flying saucer wheel (Thank you admin for the suggestion!), and some snak shak products.

Abby is a skinny girl, and seems to enjoy working out. She hopped on the wheel pretty much first thing, after scoping out the territory. She seems to enjoy the new habitat.

Road is a bit of a big girl though, in contrast to Abby. She looked around a little bit; but soon retreated into the snak shak home, and burried under the flooring of the home, and made a den. I'm kind of wondering if I bought a pregnant robo, as it seems like that would be the behavior. Hope I didn't stress out the possible mother-to-be!

Hey!   I'm Jen, age 31, from Ohio, and as I will be adopting a couple baby robos from a friend's accidental litter I signed up here so I could ask random weird questions and just generally do some research.

Other than the hams I have a veiled chameleon named Kaiju and an iguana named Ysera.  When I first offered to adopt some of the babies my friend jokingly accused me of wanting feeder pinkies!

He's posted a few videos of the litter on YouTube under the handle Shortpacked, they're reeeeaaaally cute!

My name is Angela. I have 2 robo hamsters named Tinnie and Tiny. We have had them for about a month now. Ive been noticing them fighting and Tinnie always dominates Tiny and gets on top of her causing her to hollar. Im not sure if they're playing, fighing, or what? Should I separate them or is this okay? They're suppose to be sisters, born in the same family, but Im pretty new at this and dont want 1 hurt. Any advise would be great

I go by Puck. My roommate and I share 3 Robo boys named Lock, Shock, and Barrel. We have only had them for a couple days, but I regret nothing.

Hello everyone my name is george and i am 13 i got to roborovski hamsters as hamster are my favrouite pet! i love them to bits and need a bit of help as i used to look after syain and i still do i got 1 fish(a lot of them died)1 syain hamster called snowy and as i said two roborovski hamster called bob and sandy we have got a big cage for them to run about in and two differnt places for them to sleep in

i hope that i can help peolpe and some peolpe can help me oh! i nealry forget i come for stockport and live a 5 min work for the local pet shop so it never any toruble to get anything
